THE GREAT HURRICANE

Well last year Ohio had a hurricane. Our house had some damage in which I am still fighting with the insurance company. Funny how you send them money every month, in case some thing happens. Then when some thing does happen, guess what. They dont want to pay to fix it. Its like a scam. Well any ways we had a tree fall down and almost hit our house. We had part of the tree fall into the roof, so the roof is wasted. Siding rip off the house. And to boot we were with out power for 4 days. So all of the food we had in the fridge was bad. On a brighter note no one killed or hurt. So here are a few pictures of the Hurricane of 2008. Hope I never have to deal with any thing like this again.

Nature is such a powerful force. Something like this really brings home how fragile we all are. Thank goodness no one was hurt.

I hope you don't have to ever deal w/ it again either. Don't even get me started on insurance companies. They make me miserable. Good luck w/ your claim.

Building insurance is not really the kind of insurance that protects owners in case of damage. It's "Insurance" like what you pay Guido so he doesn't burn the place to the ground, only in this case, the threat is having the bank refuse to honor your mortgage if you don't have insurance on the building. It's just a way to rob people, which is readily demonstrated by the fact that once money goes to the insurance company, it almost never comes back.

That's very unfortunate...I wish you never come across such situations.

Most important thing is all family members are safe.

Hope that you can get your insurance compensation soon.

wow, that must have been scary to live through. Hurricanes seem very frightening. I am glad you enjoyed the desert water feature on my website. I am glad it brings back good memories for you of your time in Arizona. I have Chihuly glass art up today on my site.

You were very lucky. We had a hurricaine at the end of 1999, we didn't realise how bad it had been till the next day. I won't sleep through the next one!
