This is a house in the State Park in the smokys. There was a plack that said back in the 20's the state was trying to get people to move out of the State Park and this was the last person to leave. There was also a picture of the lady that lived there. She looked kinda ruff. Makes me wonder how bears she saw. Looking back, she had life by the balls. Ok her house was not the best but think about it, she did not have all the stress and worry we have today. Any ways I hope you like this picture.

I'm sure living up in the hills does make a person tough. LOL no use putting on make-up and doing your hair if all thats going to see you is a bear. Mo great shot.

Oooh, I've been there. And you're right. That woman was rough looking. But then again, she had no makeup. Not even a hair dryer to fix her hair, ya know? No electricity. No mirror. I bet she didn't even know she looked that rough.
Life was tough back then.. I probably wouldn't have survived. Especially with no AC during those hot summer months.

As we have a log cabin - I'm always interested in older log cabins back in the day. I enjoyed your photos!!

I love old houses. Not sure I'd want to deal with no indoor plumbing of heat. Bet she was one rugged chick!
